The Corning School of Ocean Studies at Maine Maritime Academy invites applications for an
Assistant Professor of Chemistry. Applicants must hold a M.S. in Chemistry or other chemistry
related field by August 2020, or have considerable experience teaching advanced chemistry
concepts at the high school or undergraduate level. The successful candidate will enthusiastically
embrace working with undergraduates in a classroom and laboratory setting. Teaching
expectations include multiple lecture and laboratory sections for a General Chemistry
undergraduate course for engineering majors as part of a service teaching agreement between the
Engineering and Ocean Studies departments. It is preferred that the candidate have experience
