The Women Chemists’ Committee (WCC) and Chemical and Engineering News (C&EN) put on a special session at the Spring ACS National Meeting in New Orleans, LA in which the prevalence of sexual harassment in chemical fields was described and mitigation measures were discussed. Stephanie Hare, a graduate student at UC Davis, was one of the co-organizers and session co-chairs. The event was very well attended – at times the venue was overflowing – and was featured as a Presidential Event.
